In 2002 Greenpeace International exhibited worldwide a series of photographs taken in the Mayak area of Russia highlighting the devastation caused to the community by the local facility for the production of weapons grade plutomium and the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel. To accompany the exhibition we produced for Greenpeace a bi-lingual book of photographs and accompanying text, ‘Half-life – living with the effects of nuclear waste.’
